Latest figures show that output from the services industry increased by 2.7 in May 2016 compared with May 2015, with the sector now accounting for almost 79 per cent of total GDP.

Services is the only large sector that has exceeded pre-2008 recession levels. One of the biggest services provided is technology, the sector requires approximately 745,000 additional professionals with digital skills to cope with increasing demand between 2013 and 2017, businesses need a strong understanding of the talent market to ensure the ongoing quality of services.
