Public sector organisations dominate the WOW! Awards

Organisations from across the UK and abroad were recognised for their outstanding customer service at The WOW! Awards 2012 Gala Ceremony in London.
These prestigious awards are purely based on customer nominations for excellent service. Finalists were judged by an independent panel of experts from high profile British organisations, media and academia.
This annual ceremony has become recognised as a highlight of the British awards calendar and an emotional rollercoaster. The majority of winners are front liners who have had real impact on their customers. This year’s winners included representatives from the NHS and emergency services, as well as police officers, utility providers, housing associations and cleaners.
All of the winners at this year’s ceremony expressed their pride and appreciation.
The coveted “Most Inspiring Front Liner” awards were won by Stephen Gayton of Warwickshire County Council and Sam Wardle of Durham Police for the Public sector and Debbie MacLachlan of Spotless Commercial Cleaning for the Private sector.
This year the international category was won by Green Bay Police Department in Wisconsin, America and the leadership award was won by Peter Merrett of Jones Lang LaSalle in Australia.
