Engage Mutual whose chief executive Peter Burrows is presenting at the Customer Engagement Summit in November won recognition across the board for its Engage Foundation which has already made £1million available for customers to improve the lives of their communities.


In receiving the Award it was revealed that up to £5million will be committed to the Foundation moving forward.


In addition to the overall Award for Customer Engagement, Engage Mutual also won the Voice of The Customer Award the Financial Services Sector Award and the judges criteria Award for Impact.


British Airways was also a winner taking the Customer Service Award for it's Beyond the Flight Deck programme developing customer service skills for BA pilots – a programme featured in Engage Customer magazine earlier this year.


Winner in the Employee Engagement category was British Gas for its work in engaging and developing front line teams – specifically in training on the road engineers in customer service excellence.


Other finalists in the Customer Engagement category included Primark. RBS. First Capital Connect, Severn Trent Services and Diligent Boardbooks.


Primark was also a finalist in the Employee Engagement category won by British Gas, alongside MetLife and Turkcell.


The overall Peer Award for Excellence was awarded to the Royal College for General Practitioners for its work in managing dementia in primary care.
