Employee value proposition revealed as top 2020 priority for employers: yes, it’s all about the EX

Some interesting new global research in this week’s newsletter that confirms the Employee Experience (EX) is the name of the game in 2020. One in five employers see their organisations creating an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) as their top priority in the workplace this year. Conversely two in three HR and employee experience professionals surveyed said that they do not currently have a clearly articulated EVP.
The new research is aimed at understanding trends, practices and priority areas from the perspective of the employee experience with top findings include emphasis around onboarding, performance management, diversity and inclusion and, health and wellbeing.
The findings come amid the rise of a new era of HR where businesses are increasingly adopting a bottom-up approach to management, creating new strategies for employee retention, and putting employee wellbeing at the centre of decision making.
The clear message is that 2020 is about breaking down internal communication silos, promoting an integrated approach to work within organisations, empowering employees to focus on personal development whilst finding purpose in their work.
The issues and challenges thrown up by this research will be examined in some detail at our upcoming Digital Workplace and Employee Wellbeing conferences next month. Look forward to seeing you there.
