Ember fires up new Scottish office to fuel demand
The new office will be headed up by Chris Mcilduff as Ember’s Client Director for Scotland. Chris has worked with Ember since 2010, supporting a variety of clients including Ageas, Barclays, First Data, Gala Coral, Three, the Scottish Ambulance Service and outsourcing business, Webhelp.
“Many of our clients have substantial customer management operations in Scotland and we feel the time is now right for us to establish a local presence with a dedicated team that’s fully immersed in their local market,” says Chris Mcilduff. “I’m delighted to be heading up that team.”
“The Scottish contact centre industry employs over 86,000 people, supporting Scottish businesses as well as British and International organisations that have placed their customer operations in Scotland because of its powerful skills base, excellent people and positive government support,” says Ember’s Director and founder, Mike Havard. “As the economy rises, companies everywhere have a renewed appetite to improve their customer management capability. At the same time, public sector organisations are looking for new ways to meet the citizens’ service expectations within tightly constrained budgets. With offices in both Scotland and England, we’ll be on the ground to help.”
Ember Services has seen its business grow rapidly in recent years with revenues trebling over the last three years. In 2013 it established Ember PSS to serve public sector businesses across the UK and, in 2014, invested in Mottram Search, a search and recruitment firm focused on the customer management industry. It is planned that Ember’s Scottish office will also accelerate the extension of both of these businesses into the Scottish market. “We’re committed to investing for growth and to serving the growing needs of an industry that faces multiple challenges,” concludes Chris Mcilduff’, “with broad experience and capability across the private and public sector we’re very well placed to serve Scotland’s diverse and dynamic industry.”
