The rise of internal comms and workplace flexibility head up key employee engagement trends for 2020
Some interesting New Year predictions in this week’s newsletter with internal communications and workplace flexibility forecast to ‘reign supreme’ in the 2020 workplace. The convergence of the start-up and corporate company cultures will lead to the emergence of ‘employee first’ culture when it comes to EX, while CSR initiatives will increase with the help of digitalisation are among the other predictions.
As we head into 2020, the start-up and corporate culture clash will become a thing of the past, particularly when it comes to EX according to the predictions from Perkbox. The research contends we are already seeing large corporations moving closer to that start-up feel by offering cooler, more inspirational workplaces – a huge change compared to the traditional office environments of the past.
Finally, says the research, CSR policies will also come into sharp focus this year as employers become under increasing pressure to provide initiatives for a socially-conscious generation, while partners and clients also start to pose questions about CSR.
Many of the challenges and opportunities thrown up by these research-based predictions will be examined in detail at our upcoming Employee Wellbeing and Digital Workplace conferences which are running in tandem this Spring. Look forward to seeing you there.
Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year.
