Mitra Janes is featured on the Global Diversity List’s top 20 diversity champions and was named as one of the top 50 diversity professionals in industry in 2016 and 2017. Mitra joined RSA as Group Head of Diversity and Inclusion in January 2019. She is responsible for leading the delivery of the D&I strategy; managing RSA’s monitoring and reporting of progress in D&I both internally and externally; facilitating the group-wide D&I council and providing guidance and subject matter expertise across the company. Prior to joining RSA, Mitra had spent nearly 5 years at global law firm DLA Piper as Head of Diversity and Inclusion. Mitra spent a significant proportion of her career in generalist HR positions at Ford Motor Company before specialising in diversity and inclusion. Mitra was recently appointed to the Advisory Board of the Government’s Taskforce to boost socio-economic diversity at senior levels in Financial and Professional services. Mitra has a genuine passion and enthusiasm for diversity and inclusion, and ensuring everyone is able to contribute.
