More than 20 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, financial services and healthcare, Malcolm’s leadership career has focused on driving disruptive approaches that transform services and empower patients to take responsibility for their health. A specialist in innovation and business development, Malcolm has overseen transformation within NHS, hospice and private healthcare services.
Malcom completed his MBA at London Business School. On graduation, he joined the pharmaceutical industry working in manufacturing, sales, marketing and finance both in the UK and abroad where he held a Country Manager post in the Middle East.
He was a founding director of Saigei Ltd, a management consultancy, where his focus was on working with NHS organisations. While with Saigei he became a Non-Executive Director of TCN Ltd, a Primary Care Services delivery business. He later became Executive Director with responsibility for Strategy and Business Performance in May 2007. TCN was sold in March 2010 and he returned his consulting company, Health Connect Ltd.
Looking for an opportunity to broaden experience and understanding into risk management and health funding, he was asked to develop a business case for Bupa International’s scale up in China. This led on to being appointed as Head of Market Development for Bupa International undertaking insurance partner implementations in Kenya, Nigeria, UAE and a number of other markets in Europe and Asia.
Leaving Bupa in early 2015 to return to more entrepreneurial opportunities, he joined Reframe as Chief Executive in July 2015 to lead development of the business as a challenger and disrupter of healthcare services.
