Amber started her career at Virgin Atlantic Airways as a Training Officer for the Customer Service and Frequent Flyer division. It was here that Amber realised the importance of culture as well as built a passion for founder led and purpose driven companies. It’s also when she stole one of her favourite quotes from Virgins founder Sir Richard Branson, ‘Happy employees make Happy customers make Happy shareholders’.

Amber then relocated to the Midlands and joined Capital One in 2004. Amber has spent 11 years at Capital One going wherever the next challenge takes her whilst building a diverse understanding of how different areas of the business work as well as the challenges that they face. This has included leading a team of Customer Relations agents in the Operations function, leading our Internal Brand agenda to ‘put the customer at the heart of everything you do’ as well as heading up Capital One’s Specialised Compliance Programmes including managing key regulatory relationships.

Amber now heads up the Internal Communications, Community Relations and Social Media team at Capital One where she prides herself on leading a team of people who push the boundaries to engage the workforce with its corporate purpose and mission. Ambers passion resides in what it takes to build a high performing team, unlocking their potential and then creating an environment where they can thrive and be the best that they can be.
