Modern HCM software can play a pivotal role in helping companies raise employee engagement levels, according to a new report by Criterion, a leading human capital management (HCM) solutions provider.

The report, “5 Ways Human Capital Management Software Nurtures Employee Engagement,” shows how state-of-the-art software solutions promote engagement during the recruiting and onboarding processes, throughout the performance management cycle, and through powerful manager and employee self-service features.

These solutions improve communication, empower employees and help them feel more connected with their company and co-workers. These benefits all positively impact employees’ work experience and outlook.

In fact, HCM software supports the three key drivers of employee engagement identified by an MSW Research and Dale Carnegie Training study:

  1. Relationship with immediate supervisor.

    2.    Pride in working for the company.

    3.    Belief in senior leadership.

“Nurturing employee engagement isn’t a benefit typically associated with HCM software but that’s changing thanks to today’s innovative HCM solutions,” said Criterion Vice President Steven Kuhn. “With so many companies searching for ways to boost their employee engagement levels, it’s crucial that they don’t overlook the many ways HCM software can help.”

According to the Deloitte 2016 Global Human Capital Trends Survey, 85% of global executives and HR leaders say employee engagement is “very important” or “important,” yet just 11% say their engagement and retention programs are “excellent.”

“Employee engagement is associated with higher productivity, reduced turnover and higher customer satisfaction, so it’s easy to see why companies are making it a priority to raise engagement levels,” Kuhn said. “And employers who use modern HCM software are giving themselves significant advantages in achieving this goal.”
