Canada Life is enhancing EmployeeCare, the Employee Assistance Programme provided with their Group Income Protection product. EmployeeCare will now offer businesses a total wellbeing solution including discounts and perks for employees, as well as tools to help employers measure utilisation and post updates to their employees via the app newsfeed. The enhanced service will be available for new customers immediately, and existing customers will benefit from their next renewal date.
Employees will gain access to a variety of perks including gift cards, in-store and online discounts, cashback and cheaper cinema tickets. Discounts are available at big brands as well as cashback from over 1,200 retailers. Using average spending figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), employees could save £1,928 every year by making EmployeeCare an integral part of their shopping habits.
Employers will gain access to a company dashboard, allowing them to quickly see how often their staff are engaging with these benefits. The dashboard will also show which perks are most popular among their employees, helping them to understand trends and fine-tune their HR programmes to improve business results. Employers can also post company updates to the app, which acts as a new internal communication platform.
The app also acts as a wellbeing hub, with access to a library of 8,000+ tailored health and wellbeing articles and podcasts delivered through the news feed, including all the information employees need to get in touch with a counsellor or consultant 24/7.
