You can be a Smart Energy Employer

This is your opportunity to be part of Britain’s energy transformation.

By supporting your staff to get smart meters, you will be supporting Britain’s energy transformation, and your colleagues to make the most of this new technology.

Becoming a Smart Energy Employer is easy, free and will mean huge benefits for your employees.

Benefits to households

Smart meters are helping households to take control of their energy use, and get energy bills under control.

Households will finally be able to see how much gas and electricity they are using in near real time, and what it’s costing them in pounds and pence. The new meters also send the readings automatically, so there’s no longer a need for estimated billing, or even to physically see your meter to get an accurate bill.

Nearly 8 in 10 people with smart meters also tell us they are taking steps to use less energy at home as a result of getting a smart meter installed.  Over three quarters would also recommend them.

Benefits to Britain

This national upgrade is bringing huge benefits to Britain’s energy system too. Smart meters are just the beginning – without them, we won’t be able to fully take advantage of a whole host of new technologies (such as electric vehicles) or the increasingly popular use of renewable energy sources. There are so many benefits to getting involved, including benefits for your employees, your organisation and the nation.

This is a great campaign for you to get behind.
